About me:
After completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from India, I am here at University of Florida pursuing Masters in Sustainable Construction Engineering and Construction Management. I am passionate in Sustainability and my objective is to perform all my work in perpetuity. Apart from this, I love exploring new places and participating in the extra curricular activities and that’s how I came across Gators for Asha. I believe in this organization and am determined to support it to create a difference.
Running Experience and Request:
I have always been an active person, not exactly a runner but I eat healthy and exercise frequently. Running always used to scare me in the beginning. As silly it may seem, I once thought I had forgotten how to run (back in 2012 after recovering from leg fracture). But it is not true. Running is what we are best at! Right from the time when our mothers used to run after us after doing some mischief to the time when we are running from problems 😉, it comes naturally.
I have started running with Asha group and am participating in the Gate River Run 2018 to complete my first 15 kilometer run. This will not only help me with my health but will also serve a great cause. We know the importance of education and know how we can make a difference. So, this is an opportunity to show if you really ‘want’ to make a difference.
Asha for Education is a transparent organisation and it will make sure the donations are utilized for the education of the underprivileged children in India. I really appreciate your help and am grateful to you for your donation for this cause.
