About me:

I am a Ph.D. student in Immunology and Microbiology department at University of Florida. I moved to Florida few months ago and got to know about “Asha for Education, bringing hope through education”. It is a fully volunteer-run non-profit organization with more than 50 chapters around the world. The Gator chapter of UF is dedicated to help raise money for the education of underprivileged children in India. The group is very transparent and have won the award for the best non-profit organization.

Running Experience:

I never participated in any running events and always thought it’s not my cup of tea. But when I came to know that by participating in marathon and running I can help many underprivileged kids in my home country I got motivated. The idea itself encouraged me to train myself, participate and run for something bigger and better cause.

My request:

The Great River run 15k is my first marathon and I want to request all of you to support and help me raise funds to help children in India in getting better education. Even a small amount will count a lot in changing their lives.
