I am a structural engineer working as an engineering design consultant, primarily for the pre-stressed and precast industry and have been associated with Asha since 2014. I love the group’s agenda and am determined on making every effort towards making the global society a better place.
I have been involved in athletics since childhood and love most traditional events, especially long distance races. I believe it is the best way to get the body to relax and get relieved from the stresses which the brain undergoes each day. I am going to participate in the Gate River Run 2017, which is a 15 kilometer race. This time, it is not for a medal or that trophy which made few close ones proud, it is for one cause which has been important to my heart since undergraduate schooling: “The education of the underprivileged.”
My request to you is to help raise funds for the education of the underprivileged children in India. If you feel you are fortunate to receive good education and that everyone should have such an opportunity one day, then take part and contribute to this great cause.
No contribution is too small. Even $1 is over 60 Indian rupees. I have included estimates of how every dollar donated will make a difference in the life of a child below:
$15 – Covers food, boarding and healthcare needs of a child for one month
$20 – Covers books, uniforms, meals for one child for one month
$60 – Covers education and living expenses of a child for three months
$120 – Covers education and living expenses of a child for six months
$150 – Covers books, uniforms, meals, vocational training, counseling, and medical costs of a child for 1 year
Your donation will help build the future of a young child. Use the link to the left to donate. Your contribution will someday make you proud of what you did for the ones in need. Thanks for supporting the cause. 🙂
