About me:
This is my 8th year of fundraising for the UF chapter of Asha for Education, an effort that I have always relished participating in. Thanks to Team Asha and the camaraderie it has provided over the past decade or so, life in Gainesville after graduating from the University of Florida has been enriching and fulfilling. This association coupled with volunteering at various India Cultural and Education Center (ICEC) events and attending meditation sessions organized by Art of Living chapter at UF, have made my 15 years in North-Central Florida quite eventful. Lately, I have taken up trail biking and completed my 3rd Tour de Felasco on January 13.
My Running experience
Without Team Asha and its role models, coaches Rick Swenson and Dana Moser, there won’t have been so many half-marathons and a full marathon under my belt. These races have not just been regional, but took me to destinations throughout the country esp. in the West including Glacier, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain and Yosemite national parks. The past 7 instances of fundraising were associated with Gate River Run (GRR) in Jacksonville. This year, I have decided to fund raise through a local cause and registered for the Five Points of Life half-marathon on February 18. I have never felt so optimistic, energetic and enthusiastic about life before, all thanks to Gators for Asha.
